The Azores Islands: An Adventurer’s Guide

The Arrival Projects team recently visited the Azores Islands, Portugal’s ocean-and-windswept archipelago in the middle of the Atlanic.

And we wrote an article about it for The Outdoor Journal!

With a title of “Why the Azores Islands are for Adventurers: Vignettes from My Trip” we explored how the set of islands is an adventurer’s dream, with geysers, crashing ocean, high-mountain hikes, mud baths, and so much more.

From a destination marketing point of view, the islands have much to offer, including two direct flights from the archipelago’s main airport to both Boston and New York, as well as multiple daily flights from Lisbon and other places in mainland Europe.
